A-9  On the Top of the World Highway in Dawson

City, Yukon, you must cross the river on a

ferry!  This little boat served as someone's

"personal" ferry!

A-10  We were lucky enough to see Mt. McKinley,

North America's highest peak.  Most of the time it is pretty well socked in.

A-11  Near the beginning of the Alaska Highway in

Dawson Creek, B.C., there is a 6-mile

stretch of the original highway.  This is the first

bridge built on the Alaska Highway.

A-12  Even in early June, you are likely to see iced-over lakes along the Alaska Highway.

A-20  Sign Post Forest, a very famous landmark in

Watkins Lake, B.C.  Thousands of visitors

have left signs from their hometowns.  Look hard enough and you'll find a familiar one!

A-21  These are mallard eggs, found on a walk near Liard Hot Springs, British Columbia

A-22  Here's a moose with her offspring.  Moose always have the right-of-way!

A-23  This waterfall appears near Thompson Pass on the way to Valdez, Alaska

A-24  Eagles!  You can never take enough pictures of eagles!

A-25  A foggy morning on Prince William Sound in Valdez, Alaska. 

A-26  This picture in Valdez was taken at midnight!

A-28  All these eagle shorts are those circling to get the chicken mentioned in the next picture.

A-29  At this campground in Valdez, the owner puts out raw chicken for the eagles every day at the same time.  I was lucky enough to catch the eagle on the take-off after getting the chicken.
